The Sergeant Bluff-Luton CSD is seeking a dedicated and fun loving employee to join our team for Cook/Kitchen staff. This position will be primarily in the elementary building. The hours available are from 6:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The cook/kitchen staff member’s duties include but are not limited to: - Cooking school meals according to State and Federal food safety regulations - Continuing education on these regulations -Helping unload, date mark, check in, and put away weekly deliveries -Daily prepping for meals, including salad bar items -Dishwashing -Keeping compliance with meal patterns and completing daily production sheets -Daily and yearly cleaning If you or someone you know may be interested in this position, please fill out an application online from the school website, and send application/resume to the Food Service Director, Teresa Hill, at: hillter@sblschools.com to set up an interview. The Sergeant Bluff-Luton Community School District, in partnership with the Northwest Area Education Agency, is seeking applicants in its maintenance and operations departments. The applicant will work with the SBL maintenance and operations director to maintain facilities in the Sergeant Bluff-Luton Schools and the Northwest AEA. The applicant will work four days per week in the school district and one day per week at AEA. Potential leadership is available to interested applicants. Due to forecasted inclement weather, graduation will be held indoors at the elementary building. Seating will be first come first serve in the gym. Doors to the school will open at 1:00. Seniors should report to the elementary music room. Band students should follow the music plan regarding their instruments. Great weekend for Warrior athletics. The boys' tennis team qualified for state for the first time ever. Multiple track athletes are competing at state track including a 6th place finish in the shot put by Alex Wilson.

Great day for boys' tennis! Tyler was first in singles and is going to state. Nathan and Braxton were 1st in doubles and Dylan and Carter were 2nd in doubles. All are going to state. Brayton was 3rd in singles.

This week is National Teacher Appreciation Week. SBL is blessed with an exceptional teaching staff! It's a great week to send your child's teacher a special note. Thank you to all our teachers!

On May 9 , SBL is hosting the regional track meet. In order to accommodate the large amount of anticipated traffic, the high school will dismiss at 2:20 on the 9th. High school students who ride the bus may remain in the high school commons. High school and middle school students who ride the bus will walk to the elementary and get on the bus on the EAST side of the elementary school.

The Sergeant Bluff-Luton School District currently has two Elementary Teacher openings in fifth grade for the 2024-2025 school year. A reading endorsement is encouraged but not required. A strong background in math will be highly considered. Opportunities for movement with transfers may arise, potentially opening positions in other grade levels. Applicants are encouraged to share specific grade level interest in their cover letter, if desired. Positions will remain open until filled.
