Members of the SBL Middle School Choirs spread some holiday cheer by singing for the residents and staff at Embassy Rebab and Care Center in Sergeant Bluff on Friday, December 13 and Monday, December 16. Not only were our students able to share their musical gifts, they also shared their artistic skills by making holiday cards for the residents. We had a great time seeing the joy our visit brought to the residents. We look forward to sharing more music with the folks at Embassy later this school year. Thank you for having us!

Today I am thankful for our leadership teams. I am so thankful for our principals. Every day they help students and staff be the best version of themselves. I am also thankful for our school board. They volunteer their time to help shape SBL schools to be the best we can be!

It's Thanksgiving and there is so much to be thankful for, like our students! These students perform in the classroom and in competition. They are capable of amazing things. Every day we get to work with the most amazing young people and help them become what they want to be!
Today I am thankful for our non-certified staff. These are nurses, bus drivers, maintenance & grounds, secretaries , and kitchen & tech staff. These are people that often do things that go unnoticed. They keep students safe and greet them with smiles. Thanks for all you do!
Today is day two of the week of Thanksgiving. Today I am thankful for our outstanding associates! Our associates answer the call to do just about everything in and outside the classroom. They show compassion for our students every day! Thank you!
This week of Thanksgiving, I'm reminded of all the things I am thankful for as part of SBL schools. Today I am thankful for our amazing teaching staff! Research says teachers have the biggest impact on student achievement and we have the best!
I visited 1st and 2nd grade today. 1st graders were working on reading. 2nd graders were working on regrouping in math, which they just learned about yesterday!
