The Sergeant Bluff-Luton Board of Education has offered a contract for the position of Director of Student Services  to Alissah Albert. 

Alissah Albert currently serves as the Lead Strategist at Northwest AEA.  During her tenure there, she has served as a special education strategist in the elementary and middle school at Sergeant Bluff-Luton.  Her role as a lead strategist gives her unique knowledge of the special education program at SBL as she prepares for this new role.  Prior  to working at Northwest AEA, she was a special education teacher and Student Assistance Team Coordinator in South Sioux City.

The Director of Student Services is a new position at Sergeant Bluff-Luton.  The Director of Student Services is a dual-role position overseeing district-wide special education and Section 504 programs and providing leadership in school operations, particularly in middle school discipline. The role ensures compliance with federal and state special education laws, supports professional development and maintains the integrity of academic and behavioral systems across the district to meet the needs of all students.

Alissah’s official start date will be July 1.
