Sergeant Bluff-Luton Community School District Offers Contract to New Middle School
Principal
The Sergeant Bluff-Luton Board of Education is pleased to announce they have offered
a contract for the position of Middle School Principal to Dr. Jill Brown.
Dr. Brown is currently the Director of Instructional Coaching at Northwest Area
Education Agency (NWAEA) in Sioux City, Iowa. Dr. Brown received her Bachelor’s
Degree from Buena Vista University in Elementary Education, a Masters’ Degree in
Educational Leadership from Southwest Minnesota State University, and finished her
Doctorate in Educational Administration at the University of South Dakota.
Dr. Brown began her teaching career in the LeMars Community Schools at the Middle
School level teaching Reading, Language Arts, Social Studies and Math. She also
taught special education at the middle school. She served as an instructional coach for
6-12 level at LeMars Community Schools before she went to NWAEA.
Dr. Brown will begin her employment as the Middle School Principal with the Sergeant
Bluff-Luton Community Schools on July 1, 2024.
