My name is Kelly Adams and I am the principal at the Primary School.
I know the students are anxious to learn who their homeroom teachers are. Infinite Campus will open this Monday, August 7 for parents to see their child’s teacher. Welcome emails will be sent from your child’s teacher on August 7 and August 14. This helps to ensure that everyone receives it:)
When students arrive at school the first day, they will need to enter the building alone. Parents will not be allowed in the building on the first day of school. We promise the staff will take good care of your child! When students arrive on the first day of school they will head directly to their homeroom classroom. Staff will be scattered throughout the building to help students find their classroom. Students who need to eat breakfast will go to their classroom, drop off their school supplies and then head to the lunchroom for breakfast. On Wednesday afternoon, students will be shown where they go when they arrive at school beginning Thursday.
School will dismiss at 3:25 on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Each Wednesday school dismisses at 2:20 so the teachers can work in their Professional Learning Community. Please note the earlier time this school year for Wednesday dismissals. If you pick up your child be sure to meet them on the sidewalk and walk them through the parking lot. Please do your part to keep the students safe during dismissal.
Online Registration for the 2023-24 school year is also underway. You can access the registration via our website at www.sblschools.com. Please take some time to fully register your child(ren) prior to school starting. The school supply list can be found here.

I encourage students to bring their own water bottle to school as less hands and mouths on the water fountains will help to keep students healthy and safe. Water bottle refilling fountains are located in each wing to refill water bottles throughout the day.
TK-2 students will be responsible for bringing their own snacks when they need them, daily and for class parties.

Wednesday Dismissal - Bus 2:15/Walker & Pick-ups 2:20
The Student/Parent Handbook is attached to this email. It can also be found on the SB-L Primary Website. Paper copies will not be handed out this year.
If you ordered a school supply kit it was shipped to your house this summer.
Teachers are always looking for classroom donations so if you are out shopping please feel free to pick up an extra item from this list: Pencils, Clorox Wipes, Ziploc Bags (all sizes), Kleenexes
