All Day Program for 5 Year Old Children

The Transitional Kindergarten program is for children who are eligible for kindergarten and will be 5 years old by September 15, of the current school year. It is designed to meet the needs of children who are academically ready for kindergarten, but may need another year to mature socially before entering kindergarten. A thematic approach is used to enhance pre-academic, social, emotional and motor skills through a variety of fun “hands-on” activities. The following school “survival skills” are emphasized: independence, problem solving, following directions/routines, and treating others with kindness and respect.
